Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA)

गोपनीयता समझौता (Gopniyata Samjhauta)
Plain English Definition

A legal contract binding one or both parties to keep shared information confidential. It defines what's confidential, the obligations of the receiving party, and the duration of secrecy. Can be one-way (one party shares) or mutual (both share).

Real Indian Example

Before discussing a business idea with a potential investor, you ask them to sign an NDA. This means they can't share your business plan, financial projections, or technical details with anyone else. If they do, you can sue for damages.
